Big Love seasons are American drama created by Mark V. Olsen and Will Scheffer. They themselves are the executive producers of the show and researched for three years regarding the theme of the show i.e. prevailing scenario of polygamy in America. It has been originally broadcasted on HBO channel. “God Only Knows”, the theme song of the series is given by The Beach Boys whilst the rest of the musical score has been composed by David Byrne except for ‘Big Love’ season 1, composed by Mark Mothersbaugh.
Big Love seasons revolve around a fictional fundamentalist Mormon family in Utah. This family practices polygamy. Bill Henrickson is a practicing polygamist and the main character of the show. Barbara “Barb” Henrickson is mother of Sarah, Ben, and Teeny, and Bill’s first wife. Nicolette “Nicki” Grant is mother of Wayne and Raymond, and Bill’s second wife she used to be Barb’s caretaker and is Roman Grant’s daughter. Margene Heffman is mother of Lester, Aaron and Nell, and Bill’s third and youngest wife. Sarah Henrickson is Bill’s first daughter from Barb, against him regarding polygamous faith. Ben Henrickson is Bill and Barb’s son, and likes to follow ‘The belief’ to practice polygamy. Joey Henrickson is Bill’s brother, a former professional football player and husband to Wanda Henrickson. Wanda Henrickson is Bill’s sister-in-law, sister of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant’s first husband, JJ. Don Embry is Bill’s best friend and business partner. He became monogamist after his two wives ran away. Alby Grant is son and heir-apparent of Roman Grant. He is shown indulging in bisexual/ homosexual acts in many episodes.
