Amanda Seyfried was born on 3 December 1985 in Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, US. She is the daughter of Ann, an occupational therapist and Jack Seyfried, a pharmacist. She is the sister of Jennifer Seyfried, a musician of the organ-driven band -Love City. She completed her high school studies from the William Allen High School in 2003 and then joined the Fordham University of New York.
She was having a relationship with Jessie Merchant and it lasted for two years. Now, she is dating her co-star of ‘Mamma Mia!’- Dominic Cooper.
She started modeling from the age of eleven and did an uncredited performance in a daytime drama ‘Guiding Light’. After this, she appeared in the role of “Lucy Montgomery” in ‘As the World Turns’ in 2000. She also made her way into acting for ‘All My Children‘ in 2002.
